Governmental Resolution
The L.U.de.S has been legally authorized on the senses of the Art. 14 paragraph 2nd and 3nd of the cantonal law on the University: " The authorization of the State Council is fundamental * to use in the Canton the denomination "University", "University Institute" and similar form by public and private institutions that develop teaching activities and allocate academic titles; the State Council comes to a decision on the advice of the Center of Accreditation of the Swiss University Conference.
* By State Council one intends the Cantonal Government.
