L.U.de.S. University of Human Sciences and Technology of Lugano is well-known for its academic and quality excellence having, since its origin, an international orientation.
Founded in 1999 and headed by the President Prof. Paolo Sotgiu, the University is endowed with a prestigious academic staff, both at classical and scientific level. The University aims at educating students in an interdisciplinary way thanks to a holistic approach as to didactics and research, by developing autonomy and responsibility in students.
One of the distinguishing points of L.U.de.S. University is an educational offer adapting itself to the requirements coming from its competence sectors. Keeping to its inspiration principles, L.U.de.S University examines and evaluates the requirements of the working environment, arranging training courses meeting the final demands.
This allows students to immediately enter the competence areas the University is specialised in.
Research can count on Centres, Departments and Institutes which are constantly studying and deepening the subjects concerning the new challenges of our society. Research activity has been determined on the base of the most known international criteria and aims at achieving results by reporting a clear interpretation and applicability, keeping to ethical principles and protocols optimization.
The University of Human Sciences and Technology of Lugano can also count on L.U.de.S University Press, an innovative and fundamental structure enhancing and promoting research at University.
L.U.de.S. educational offer doesn’t just confer qualifications but also concerns the strategic choice of Continuing Education (long life learning).
